Gurfateh Sangat Ji,

Im currently looking for the following information on Bhai Gurdas Ji Bhalla who compiled Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

  • 1. Where was Bhai Sahib born? and what was his date of birth? Born at Goindval in AD 1551. exact date is not known.
  • 2. What was his parents name? his father's name was Ishar Das and mother's name was Jivani
  • 3. Was he married? If so, what was his wifes name? and were there any children? Bhai Gurdas, never married and died at Goindval on 25 August 1636.
  • 4. How many brothers did Bhai Tej bahn ji have? I do not recognise this name - please give more data about the person. ie dob, reputation, father or mother, etc
  • 5. How many brothers did Sri Guru Amar das ji have? from Guru Family Tree, were 3 brothers, Bhai Ishar Das, Bhai Amar Das and Bhai Manak Chand
